Digging for Treasure

Out and about yesterday with my friend Nancy.  We drove up the coast to Morro Bay to visit a store called Lina G.  We were on the hunt for some vintage trimmings for a project that is in the works.
Lina has a fabulous store that I have visited many times over the years.  It is packed full of all kinds of vintage flowers, leaves, lace and ribbon.  It's the kind of store you have to dig in and open every drawer, lift up every basket, look high, look low, and you still might not see everything.
I apologize for the pictures in advance...I only had my iphone on me.
look at this cashwrap
bins of fabulous trim
jars of beaded leaves and such...
piles of vintage flowers
my purchase for the day
After an hour or so we were done looking for what we came for (don't you want to know what were making?)  What a great place to spend a few minutes or hours....it's always foggy out by the bay anyway so you might as well spend the time inside.

If you can't make it to Morro Bay, Lina has an online shop on Ebay, Trims and Treasures.

  8. Deb & Paula, I LOVED this post! I have been to Morrow Bay last June & I LOVED IT! I wanted to go back anyway & this store is just what I needed to push me to do so. We ate down on the wharf & watched the boats, birds, fog & the ROCK! I have a friend, Diana Frey that lives in San Luis O. & she sent us to Morrow Bay to see it. I don't know if she knows about this shop or not but, I'll be sending her your link to this post. THANKS FOR SHARING! And if I get lucky enough to get our RV next year (we were hoping for this year but, Hubby got open heart surgery instead) & hoping to summer on the central coast of California, Oregon, & Washington to escape the Texas heat. Hugs from a new Follower. Charlene

  11. Took a little trip to Lina G today! Thanks for posting about this little gem of a store! I've been to Morro Bay several times but mostly just for dinner or a bike ride around the rock. Today, we had Thai food for lunch before heading into Lina G. Can't shop on an empty stomach. Such fun stuff and if you don't have a project you find yourself trying to think up a project just so you can buy some goodies. We plan to go back again so we can hit up a few more stores. Saw the cutest typewriter key bracelets at Brenda Sue's down the street. Thanks Paula for helping me to get to know my own backyard.

  12. Hi Ladies! Lina G is my mom...I'm Stephanie G! I know, I'm the luckiest girl, right? The store is INCREDIBLE and my mom is the most creative, talented, hard-working person I know.

Many of her items are AVAILABLE ON EBAY!!!! Here's the link: http://stores.ebay.com/trimsandribbons I also sell on Ebay...I'm just getting started and my link: http://stores.ebay.com/trimsandribbonstoo.

Please come browse our online selection. Mom has around 1500 listings. It's not everything that you'll find at the store, but it's a great start!!!

    ENJOY!
