 Welcome Heather!

Name:  Heather Jacob

Name of my blogs:
Art and Life Blog
Art and Soul Blog

City and or country you live in :
Adelaide, South Australia.

When I was a child I wanted to be :
A hairdresser, which I did and owned 7 hairdressing salons over a long career.

I wish I’d never worn:
Stiletto Heels when I was in my teens and twenties, because now I am paying the price with back problems.

Five things on your desk right now:
Tim Holtz stains and crackle paint , fibre paste,  paint brushes, metal elements and masks..

Favorite guilty pleasure :
I am addicted to chocolate.

I’m very bad at :
Sleeping !!! I stay up late scrapping and forget to go to bed.

Do you collect anything :
Lots of things, one of my addictions is Vintage Pewter wares. I love the intricate work on anything Vintage.

What’s your strangest talent :
Aura and palm readings.

If you got a free plane ticket to anywhere, where would you go:
Without a doubt - France

How did you get started:
I began Scrapbooking in 2003. I discovered a scrapbooking magazine and while looking through it, I became immediately hooked.  I entered a competition, won it and the owner of the store asked me if I would teach !  My immediate response was one of shock !  TEACH ?? I was very busy with my hairdressing salons at the time, but managed to teach one class a month, and did so for 10 years. Right now my passion is designing on Design Teams.

Go to products that relate to your craft:
Tim Holtz products, Alterations/Sizzix, stains and paints, metal elements, Masks, Dusty Attic chipboard, Golden paints, pastes and art mediums, Maja Design papers, distress tools.

How do you get inspired or stay inspired:
I am inspired by Nature, especially my Garden.
