It's time to start the big wrapping process. I picked up a few gifts for an out of town friend and was thinking it would be nice to send the them back to her wrapped and ready to go. The gifts are small so I thought it would be cute for them to go in pillow boxes.
To start, you need some heavy weight paper, more of a cardstock weight. I chose 7gypsies Savannah flocked paper. It is a good weight and the flocking is luscious.
I happen to have a die and die cut machine for making pillow boxes, but you can also make your own with a template. I found a very cute pattern that you can download with other additional ideas here.
Cut, score and adhere along long side of box. TIP: Therm-o-web super tape works great holding the box together (We love Therm-o-web products!). Just run a strip on the long flap and fold the top over to adhere.
The boxes needed tags...I used the new 7gypsies Christmas stamp.
Stamp the images onto cardstock and trim with the flag shaped end. Add eyelets or a bit of fabric stapled over the edge. Attach to gift with waxed linen or tiny safety pins. These are so easy, I had my grandsons making them. They had a lot of tags made in a very short time.
I like to add tulle to my ribbon when wrapping. It adds fullness without using more ribbon and is inexpensive to use.
Stay tuned, on Monday we will have more wrapping ideas....get your button box out, you're going to need it.
