Sizzix Chapter 4 - Winged 3D

Hello friends,

Sizzix Chapter 4 went on sale today so we can finally show some of the projects we have been working on.  If you missed the Facebook LIVE showing all the samples, it now available to watch via his blog

Chapter 4 which includes 11 dies:
Day of the Dead - Colorize
Leaf Print
Paper Village
Darling Deer
Arctic
Gift Wrap - Bigz
Cathedral Window - Bigz
Winged 3D - Impresslits
Engraved 3D Texture Fade
Toyland - Colorize
Snowscape - Colorize

This little Etcetera Tag was created to show off the Winged 3D Impresslit.  An Impresslit not only embosses the paper, but cuts out the shape at the same time.
I cut Winged with idea-ology Metallic paper in both silver and gold.  The detail is absolutely incredible.
To get the "vintage" look, I scribbled Walnut Stain Distress Crayon on my Glass Mat and picked it up with a damp brush.  When you brush the wash over the embossed Winged, the crayon goes into the creases in the metallic paper creating an aged effect.  So easy to do and SO effective.
The tag itself is very easy to create, starting with two pieces of paper from the 8 x 8" Christmas Paper Stash.  I adhered the paper with Collage medium, then added the pinked edge trim at the bottom.  I love the metallic Trim Tape.  It's so thin and easy to use.  I see so many uses for it that I suspect you be seeing more of it in my Christmas creations.
This Paper Doll is from the regular Paper Doll pack (not the Christmas pack).  I love that if you look close you can see her dress was plaid.  I use Fired Brick Distress Crayon directly on the dress, then rubbed it smooth with my index finger.  Then using a Detailer Water brush, draw lines to follow the plaid in her dress, removing the crayon, and creating the light stripes.
Add Clippings stickers from the Christmas Sticker book to the bottom of the tag.  These three clipping work together beautifully to create a good sentiment for the tag.
Instead of cutting the hole at the top of the tag, I used a Large Hinge Clip.  That gave me a place to tie red and white string and a bell from the Tiny Bells pack.
The polka dot frame is from the Christmas Baseboards pack.  The pack has lots of Frames with different holiday plaids, checks and polka dots to choose from.  This little polk dot one fit perfectly on the #8 tag
The 25 cent ticket is from the Christmas Ephemera pack.  I thought it made a great "seat" for her to sit on.
This tag is quick and easy so I hope you will try it or something like to include the new Winged 3D.  It is not to be missed.
now carry on,
paula

The “live” was so well curated, Paula, the makers shone brighter than ever doing a great job with such variety, and, of course, no words to express the joy Mario and Tim shared with everyone!
