Palette Indigo Tag

Hello Friends,

It's the first of the month which means it's time for a new Tim Holtz Palette Color - this month it's Indigo! Once again, this new selection of fabrics for FreeSpirit is beautiful! I went with a couple of the lighter Indigo fabric because it's still summer. But as we move through the month and I am able to share more, I will be incorporating the richer Indigo fabrics into my work. That is where the Indigo collection really shines! So here's to a few more weeks of summer that will lead us right into fall!

Palette Green Tag

Hello Friends,

Can you believe we are six months in on the Tim Holtz Palette Series of fabric from Freespirit? Hard to believe we are halfway through the year!
After making my series of red tags, I decided to go back and make a tag for every color so I will have the entire Palette color wheel by November. And what a perfect way to start May by diving into Palette Green! It's definitely a color with so many possibilities.
I started this tag using the Collage Fabric as the background and then just added little bits here and there. I loved the Vintage Flair button glued to the Optical Frame (I did the same thing on this project with a different center). I loved that the Paper Doll looks like he his holding the Optical Frame in his hand! The "made good" is part of the collage fabric  - I cut it out out, added Collage Medium to the back and let it dry. Then sewed it on as a patch. The word came from the Snarky Sticker Book. I stuck them to the surface of the fabric, then stitched them on. The metal star was the last to be added. I wiped a little white paint over the dark metal and once it was dry, I added to the tag with Collage Medium.
Just as a matter of reference, his jacket was colored with Pine Needles and his tie with Villainous Potion. Pine Needles is not a color I use a lot, but it worked perfectly here! I colored directly on the Paper Doll and smoothed it out with my finger tip and the cotton swab.

Just as a reminder, here are the rest of the tags I've made so far:
Palette Pink
Palette Red
Palette Orange
Palette Yellow
Palette Neutral
Palette Green
Next month we start on the blues...teal, then blue, then indigo. So many fun fabrics to go!

Palette Tags

Hello Friends!

I recently made tags with red Palette fabric. I loved how they turned out so I decided to create a tag for each color and continue till I reach the end of Palette. Once my red tags are returned from Tim (he used them in todays Palette Live), I will choose one to add to the three you see here. Next month, the color is Neutral (very Tim Holtz, right?)...so I will have total of 5 tags after that tag is added. I hope you follow along or even better, why not join me? A tag a month, a new color a month, and in the end we will have something fabulous!

PINK
ORANGE
YELLOW
I hope you like where I went with these! So much fun because anything goes!
