Are you ready for more wrapping fun!
Earlier this week I made these chalkboard labels using the dies pictured below.
Here's more wrapping fun, using those same dies.
I LOVE getting lots of mileage out my dies!
To make your die cut shapes into a buckle, the center area of your shapes need to have the two holes or slits which allow the ribbon to be laced in and out of the buckle. I used three different dies to accomplish this. The first two come in the Mini Openings Set (Paula used them on her little "Artful Christmas Village" last week). The "door" and "arched window" in this set worked perfectly to cut out the holes for the ribbon the run through.
Once you have cut out all your die cut shapes you are ready to cut the inside holes to make them into buckles.
Making buckles in 6 easy steps:
Making buckles in 6 easy steps:
1. Place the "mini arched window" die in the area you want to cut.
Notice that the window is turned on it's side with the flat side towards the center.
2. Secure the die with tissue tape or painters tape. Flip it over so that the back side of your buckle is facing up and run through Vagabond Machine.
3. Remove die and it should look like this.
4. Repeat the process for the second hole - position die to match up with the other side.
5. Tape in place, flip it over so the back side of buckle is facing up and run through Vagabond Machine again.
6. TA DA....you have a buckle!
You can use the same "arched window" die for the center holes in different size buckles.
Pictured below is the Baroque and Mini Label dies.
This time let's use the "door" shape for the inside holes
on the ATC and Corners die.

5. Secure with tissue tape, flip over to back side is up and run through Vagabond Machine.
6. Remove die and it should look like this.
One more option for the center cuts, this time using the Baroque Photo Corners die.
It works nicely with the large Baroque die
Just like the others, position the die.
There are 2 of these dies in the set, so you cut both sides at one time.
Tape to secure, flip over so back side is facing up and run through Vagabond Machine.
This one makes a slit rather than a hole.
Run ribbon through.
It was fun to do so I ended up making a lot of buckles
The black and creme set....
.....and the red and creme set
Here's a few details...
The top of the Cabinet Cards is perfect spot for a Woodland Wreath. The wreath is painted lightly with Glue and Seal then dusted with Dry Stickles. Pearls (from Baubles set)were tucked and glued. Star glittered with Platinum Extra-fine glitter.
Another Cabinet Card, this time I couldn't resist using one of the chalkboard labels, it fits right in that top spot. Love the striped ribbon!
Tucked in an Idea-ology Key labeled with a Chitchat word
I used all kinds of ribbons, striped, gingham, velvet and satin.
Love the Terminology Tissue as wrapping paper. I used this one as a placque instead of a buckle....added a Plaquette enamal plate and Corked Vial filled with snow.
Had to add a little glitter with the Vintage Noel Die and Platinum Glitter

These were really fun, easy to do and a bit addicting....so make a bunch while you are at it.
HAPPY WRAPPING
and have a great weekend!
