Favorite Things...

A quick post before I head out very early tomorrow morning.  On my way to teach both Friday and Saturday at Whim So Doodle.   To be honest, I'm looking forward to sitting on the plane and reading a book.  I also have a pile of magazines that I have stacked up, waiting for a free moment to take a peak.  I am sure a few of those will find their way into my bag.

I started wrapping some Christmas presents today and thought I would share.  Brown paper wrapping, all tied up with string, is the theme this year.  I used the Stamper Anonymous Mini Cirque Alphabet and Black Archival ink to stamp the name right on the wrapping.  I stamped the name before I wrapped the gift since the box was too soft for stamping.  I just measured how long the box was and made a mark on the paper at the top and bottom.  Pretty simple really.
I used one of the Trimmings pieces to wrap around the gift, then added an Adage ticket over the trimmings using a tape runner.   I have a bottle of Wishbones that my husband drilled tiny little holes in the top for hanging.  I threaded the wishbone on thin red and white string then used my fingertip to spread on some Glossy accents and dipped it into glitter.
Seriously, who doesn't need a glittered Wishbone?
I know I need a 100!
Once I had the glitter on the wishbone, I slid the wishbone down the string to a clean part, cut off the piece I got glue on, then hung it to dry.  Once dry, I tied it to the package.  How cute is that?

By the way, there are 8 WISH tickets per pack of Adage Tickets, in addition to: hope, dream, trust, love, soar, giggle, story, play, live, bliss and adore.

In other news, I have a tutorial coming up this weekend over at the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom - where I am part of a group of women participating in 12 tags with a Feminine Touch.  Each day someone new posts a tag!  Super fun and there are chances to win GC each day.

So I'm off on another adventure for a few days -Everything has been shipped or packed up for the weekend.  I have listed the remaining Gilded Christmas Boxes in the Etsy shop for those that might still be interested.

Now carry on,
