If you have followed our fabric journey you might notice that our little clipboard wall keeps getting bigger! In fact in the fall we will add 8 more to the Correspondence collection so we're going to need 8 more clipboards!
Our wood pallet wall that Art built was just amazing...Tim and I were able to junk it up, because you know... that's our specialty.
We had many great samples made for the show, including the Envelope Tote and the "Fly" stretched block by Amy Friend. Amy has a new book called Intentional Piecing which includes the Transatlantic Quilt that these two blocks are based on.
This is a great little carry all bag. It has pockets inside that can hold a notebook or Kindle. Don't you love that airmail stripe as the binding?
She also made a toddler size dress. How cute is that? Again, that airmail stripe is a winner!
We had some great pillows made...instructions for the Special Delivery Pillow will be posted on the Coats website soon.
The woven pillow Richele made had many people asking "how'd she do that?". If you want to see how she created it and the tool she used, you can check it out here.
Craft Thread
We released craft thread or as I like to call it, hand stitching thread. The photo below shows standard cotton thread that you would use in a sewing machine on the right and the new craft thread on the left. It's 100% cotton with a glace finish for smooth tangle free stitching.I thought I'd share a few projects that show the thread in action like these pieced pincushions made by Richele.
Richele also made this darling stitched purse. Such great details with the little french knot flowers, vintage buttons and lace.
This purse made by Patty was created by piecing multiple fabrics together and adding blue linen to the bottom as well as the strap. Patty used fussy cut pieces of the fabric to add patches at the top of the bag. She also cut tiny round fabric pieces and made them into flowers with french knots as the center. If you are interested in the base pattern you can find it at The Fat Quarter Shop.

One of the things she added was this cute fabric patch on the inside of the bag. Love that kind of detail! The thread will be available in 3 assortments with 4 spools of 50yds each. I know there has already been a lot of talk about the thread so as soon as I know the release date I will let everyone know.
Hardware
We introduced metal hardware in both gunmetal and a tarnished brass finished. This Padded Camera Pouch (from Michele's Patterns) was made by Sharon. Super cute with the added d-ring and small swivel clip on the side.
A small size buckle and soft leather strapping was used to create a closure on this idea-ology Worn Cover that has been covered in fabric.
This cute bag made by Sharon is also from Michele's Patterns (Idea pouch). We changed it up a bit to add leather strapping and hardware to the front.
Heavyweight Zippers
The gunmetal zippers come in 3 sizes, 9", 14", 24" with 9" having the most color choice.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the samples made for Quilt Market. I hope this is the inspiration you need to break out the sewing machine this summer and sew! paula
