Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It might be your....

I have been waiting patiently for my box of brand new 7gypsies product, which sadly has yet to arrive.  I was planning on doing a "give-a-way" post...sharing our gypsy stuff is one of our favorite things to do.
It occurred to me that there are a lot of gypsy goods that have been created in the past (some still my favorites) that are impossible or very difficult to find.  Since I have become the keeper of all "vintage gypsy" I thought I would put together a box with some of those items.  Most included in the box you won't be able to find online or at a retail store.   A lot of items you can't see in the photo below, so there will be surprises!  Some of my favorites are Life creme paper, "Atelier" enamal plate (great for your studio), disclaimer rubbings, "Work In Progress" book band and "papier" tissue.

Do you have a favorite vintage 7gypsies product?  You know, those things that you are afraid to use as you "may not be able to find them again".  Post a comment by Monday, telling us your favorite for a chance to win.  We will announce the winner on Tuesday.

Have a good weekend!

  5. I love the paper tape...I use it all the time when I turn composition notebooks into journals.

Awesome giveaway! I love that there will be surprises in the box....LOVE surprises!

  6. Love the tape and I'm getting better about using it since I figure there'll always be another style out soon that I'll love just as much.

Sure would love that goodie box - thanks for the giveaway!

  7. I have an unopened package of Vintage Hardware. I've had it for about three years. I'm a card and ATC maker and can't really use these pieces because of their size. My thought was someday to make a big canvas piece and I'm still waiting. For now I'm happy to take it out and look at it every now and then. I just love the spoon and the key although the clock is pretty neat too.......

  8. As soon as I saw the box my heart skipped a beat! My favorite 7Gypsies product is something I have never seen here to buy! (This has nothing to do with 7Gypsies but rather the stores that are local to me) That Item I actually have had a JPEG of in my Documents...it is the 7Gypsies Disclaimer stamp set. I have always wanted it but never seen IRL and I don't shop the net.I always thought it was SUCH a versatile set. I'm really hoping this is my Lucky Day! :D

  9. I was just talking about this the other day, how I wish we could still get some of the "vintage" items from 7Gypsies. I've been hoarding for years, the original tissue paper, in fact so well, I can't remember where I put it! I really wish I could still get those antique brass and silver paper fasteners. The ones where you squeeze them together and a hole punches into whatever you are putting in between. I think 7Gypsies should make those again, but different sizes! Awesome giveaway!

  10. Ah, be still my heart......such treasures. I still have some old 7 gypsies goodies - I love and hoard. Like the original tissue paper...I use it very sparingly (have 1 package left). The other thing I love and wish I could find more of (I only have 1 left) are the easel spirals. These are so super! The bra backs - were they wonderful or what? And finally the rubber bands "hold me tight", "hold everything" etc.
Such a fun trip down memory lane!!!
Thanks, again and again for all the inspiration!!

  11. I have a set of 7 Gypsie rub-ons, one that is an old sheet of numbers from at least 3-4 years ago and the stempunk one that I have been s-l-o-w-l-y over time. It's hard to find rub-ons here and I only use them on {very special} projects.

When I bought them, I only got one set of each. The next time, I'll be buying two of each, so they won't feel quite so precious. *laughs* Silly, isn't it?

I'd LOVE to win this box o'happiness! It would be fun to have a whole pile of new stuff to play with!

    ReplyDelete
  12. That should have read "slowly USING" over time. *sigh*

  56. My heart skips a beat when I'm going through my 7G stash and see my Gypsy Market paper. I pet it and make sure it's not getting dinged up or dented by some contraband designer paper (ROFL!) If I won that box of 7Gypsy goodness, I might need the paddles - CLEAR!

  59. WoW, your post really struck a chord as I was JUST tonight going through my board of hoarded 7g stuff and admiring my 'vintage' treasures. In particular, those wonderful Swatch books and the great "Pull" door escutcheons! I have been hoarding them forever ... even using them ... then carefully removing them from the project ... to re-use!

    Can't have enough new ... and classic ... 7gypsies!!

Thanks for the chance to win ... it would be a thrill and a treat!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Awesome package! I would love some vintage Gypsey to arrive in my mailbox :-)

  61. I've been loving and collecting your product for years. I have one "door" knob/plate product that I'm still trying to think up a perfect project on which to use it. Keep it coming! Love your eclectic style!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I absolutely love the 7 Gypsies line. And although I use the products on my work, I always worry that I won't be able to restock what I have used.

There is absolutely nothing that I don't like about this line. It suits the style that I love.

Fingers crossed to winning this contest.

  65. You cannot be SERIOUS! (oh, what a giveaway... of my AGE, I mean!) How can you ask us to choose... I am a relative latecomer to "official" scrapping as opposed to sticking everything in my diaries. I then created severe & incurable paper envy for myself by buying someone's stash of old scrapmags-- the papers are long gone... Creme Life-- got 1 sheet. I was happy till I found out there had also been Black... AAARGH!

    ReplyDelete
  66. It's a toss up between the stamps and rub-ons.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I love the 7gypsies portfolios and the garters. I took a class a few years ago and it really inspired me to used more gypsy products -- of course that means that my stash dwindles.

    Thanks for your generosity.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I just love gaffer tape, my stock is getting very low.
Now when I use it the pieces are getting smaller every time I cut them just to make it last longer!

  73. I hoard the 7Gypsies paper ephemera. I know it's still available, but you just never know. I love the stuff! I also love the black tape. It's hard to find, at least for us, and I always worry I won't be able to find it again! Thanks for the chance to win!

We dOnt have much 7 gypsies stuff over here :( but I have bought a few bits off good ole eBay including little ephemera tickets & I love them :) x

    ReplyDelete
  77. My new current love is the tissue paper. I will be very sad when they go away.

Have you made your plans to come teach us yet at Whim So Doodle?!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I do hoard my old Gypsy products. I especially love the elastics (I have them in all 3 sizes). I also hoard the black pins (they look like the straight bobbie pins - not sure what they're called because I've taken them out of their packaging). They're great for attaching all sorts of things to layouts. Love me some vintage 7Gypsy!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. The little glass dome vile- sigh - it's soo cute!

One of my favorite, I can't use item, are those tiny paper clips in colors - I can't seem to fine anymore so I've been hoarding them in my stash!

  88. I am new to 7gypsies so I don't have any products yet. This box of goodies would be a wonderful start! I do hoard things though and if I only have one of something to make a card, I would have trouble using it! Thanks so much for the chance to win. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  89. OMG. Is that gaffer tape (swoon). Long before the washi tape craze, 7Gypsies was there with incredible tape!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I love the tape, and use it sparingly because I dread the day it runs out! (the yellow flowers on black). I also have a lot of other 7G items that sit in their own box waiting for me to use them, but I usually just go through and admire them, not wanting to use any of them up! Some day I will...

    ReplyDelete
  91. The Paddington double sided paper...an all sizes...every pattern. I got it and wouldn't use it for the longest time. Now, I'm snipping off little pieces for projects. Pieces keep getting bigger and bigger causing major anxiety attacks in fear of it being discontinued! LOVE that stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I am fairly new to this wonderful world of "embellish and distress"...so I really don't have any experience with having "vintage" items(other than my husband!LOL),except for when I do pick up other peoples vintage goodies at thrift stores. My favorite finds are older tissue paper packs, especially those that have printing/writing on them. Did 7 Gypsies offer something like that in the past? If so, that would be at the top of my list.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Love everything vintage...especially the "ephemera" stamp set...goes well in soooooooooo many places. Thanks for the chance to win!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. O, have a lot of those »afraid to use« product, but when I incorporate them in project I am happy I did it. Right now is my favorite Opical lenses (I purchased only one package and didn’t used it yet) and Vintage hardware.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I love all things 7 gypsies but the tissue paper is my absolute favorite!! A box of goodies! All I can say is wow!!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I love vintage bottles, especially the way you use them so creatively. Big fan! Thanks for getting us all excited for some vintage goodies! Eloise

    ReplyDelete
  97. I don't have any vintage 7 gypsies, but I adore all the pretty things I can see in your box. The work in progress book looks awesome and I also love the button and number rub-ons/tapes... I would love to win this. Thank you for being so generous!

    ReplyDelete
  98. I am passionate about making books...even when I was a little girl I made them, then couldn't use them, because I was afraid they'd 'be gone.'. I still love to make books, but now, they're my 'happy' books- with quotes and clips and collage on a page, which simply makes me happy! I would be thrilled to replenish my dwindling rolls of gaffer tape, and I've always love the book kits-- the cut, shaped covers which have a corresponding set of pages, paper, pockets, tabs.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Gaffer tape is my favorite "I don't want to use it" product. Have a couple of rolls sitting on my desk.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Work in Progress! AHH, how that book would be perfect mixed with so many of the other elements along with my metal work! To keep track of it all would be awesome! LOVe this blog, thanks Tim HOltz for having it shown on his blog.

    ReplyDelete
  101. The keys, which is strange and funny at the same time. I think I'll use them today.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I have always liked using the metal tab tops, pretty much any of their other hardware and stamps, and though I still really like their papers it was the french document papers they first released way back when - white, cream, gray and I think a red also? Those always find their way into my work somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  103. For me, it would have to be the arrow photo turns, particularly the red ones. Whenever a project needs a little more "something", I always dig out an arrow from my secret stash. I dread the day when I use the last one. *sniff*

    ReplyDelete
  104. I love 7 gypsey's ephemera! I bought some little bottles several years ago and used them up! Now I wish I had bought 2-5-25 packages they were so cute!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I love the paper tissue and any of 7g's paper... Thanks for the chance to win...

    ReplyDelete
  106. It's got to be the gaffer tape for me --- love it! This is one gorgeous box of eye candy. Thank you for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  107. I cringe every time I use something out of my 7G stash that I know I don't have a duplicate of. The hardest ones to use for me are the papers - Tahiti and Bali which I bought several and down to my last couple of each. Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  108. I have some of the original tissue paper (has city names on it) that I am hoarding! What a great box you have there!

    ReplyDelete
  109. What a wonderful , wonderful giveaway !! Would love the book band , always wanted one but never ran across it anywhere. That was always one of my favorites . Love all things Gypsy !!

    ReplyDelete
  110. wow what a very cool idea! How many items have I bought over the years that are no longer made and then wished I had kept them, sigh. I know scrapping has progressed to some even more amazing products, but it would so nice if just occasionally some of the the old favourites were re-produced.
See that strap there? That became me favourite way of holding my mini album together! I soooo wish I could get my hands on more of them!

    ReplyDelete
  111. I am a 7 gypsies addict, therefore I cannot choose one thing. I MUST have it all...

    ReplyDelete
  112. OMG! Where shall I start on my favorite Gypsy item?? i started with one box of "gypsies" stuff and now have two huge ones. Last weekend went to a pug party and gave a mini album away as a gift filled with some of my favorite items: your 97% stickers, ribbons, gaffer tape, rub-on, number tabs, velvet leaves, and of course your fab paper. Just finishing up another mini album and could use the buckle belt. LOL! thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  113. I am a "newbie" to Gyspy stuff, but would sure love to win this wonderful treasure box of Gyspy. Pick me, pretty please!

    ReplyDelete
  114. I love all 7Gypsies products but my fav are the Rub-ons. I know... it sounds not much of special product but really love them 'cos they are the perfect versatile touch for any project. Thanks for the chance! :-D Vron

    ReplyDelete
  115. Oh my goodness - I love the vintage disclaimer stamp set. That is the coolest! I love everything 7 Gypsies and usually buy two of each so I can tuck away.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Holy cow I am loving that leather belt strap batman! I could so see that on an album!

Oh and the clipboard clip would be so awesome on the lid of a box I'm working on!

I am a hoarder of all things crafty, so I have to have a special project to use something I might not have ever again!

What a wonderful group of Gypsy items! Thanks for the opportunity!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I love this disclaimer rub-ons...I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that hoards stuff for something special...which, by the time something special turns up, I either have no idea where I hid it, or forget I still have it..!!! Love your products, and your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  118. What a treat it would be to win!

I like the clipboard clamp in the bottom corner... I'd love to play with any/all of it!

    ReplyDelete
  119. There are too many to choose just one thing. I hang on to my gypsy items because I don't have a lot of access to them (limited budget). This box would be a great birthday present!

    ReplyDelete
  120. 7 gypsies is so cool! I do love there books to alter!

    ReplyDelete
  121. I have an old knob that I'm saving for something really special...love so much of their stuff, but the hardware is my favorite.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I love anything 7Gypsies, but my absolute favorite product is the 97% Complete sticker line. I use it on layouts, in mini albums, basically on nearly all my projects!!

    ReplyDelete
  123. love the old gaffer tape!

    ReplyDelete
  124. I have hoarded all things 7g for years and am often afraid to use the stash in case i may need it for a later project. I still have stashed of the oldies but goodies Inspiration/secret twill, the original tissue paper, spiral clips, metal plates, label sticker books. My paper collections fills 2 large files. I can never get enough 7g product and get it all, because eventually it always is perfect for a project, Would love to add some missing items to my hoard. 135. I am really new to the wonderful world of scrapbooking/paper arts. So far, my activity has consisted of buying supplies! My favorite 7 gypsies item I have found so far is the ATC card display. I am not sure if this is discontinued or not, but I have not been able to find one.

I think what I like most about 7 gypsies is that the products are timeless. They are not just trendy items that will look dated, but classics that will continue to look current.

By the way, LOVE your blog!

  148. I usually buy everything that comes out from 7 Gypsies because I just love it soooo. I first found it in a sweet shop in the east valley which as I understand was once their home. I have a large box marked on the outside in my studio full of goodness. Unfortunately, I really have a hard time using it for the fear I will never have it again. My absolute favorite item was the tissue with the numbers. I bought up every bit I could find over the years but find I am down to about a square foot of it. I did however begin a book of all things Gypsy and have vowed to use all of my favorite products in one large book. Good news is... I'll always know where to find it when I need inspiration. Thank you for all of the beauty you girls bring to us. Can't wait till you come back to Phoenix for another class!
