I have an easy tutorial for you today all about pumpkins! I got a couple packages so I could experiment with color, because pumpkins don't always have to be orange! There are nine pumpkins in a package with three different sizes. They come in a great color of orange which I love but I thought I could change these up a bit! Follow along and I'll show you what I did.
I was totally inspired by pumpkins that I saw recently at a local antique fair. Scanning my choices for Distress Paint colors to use, I gravitated towards Hickory Smoke, Evergreen Bough, Iced Spruce, and Picket Fence. I used a small paint brush and added two coats letting them dry in-between.I found that if I rub a thin layer of Collage Medium over each pumpkin that the paint stays nicer in the next step since it has been sealed. Totally worth the 3 or 4 minutes it took to do it.
I used a combination of techniques to get the pumpkins to look the way I wanted. First I scribbled Walnut Stain Distress Crayon on my Tonic non-stick mat. I also spritzed some water on the mat to wet my paint brush. You are really looking to make more of a paste rather than brown water so the less water the better.
Using the brush, you are able to paint right down the cracks in each pumpkin. I like this method but it was not grungy enough for me so I scribbled directly onto the pumpkins and then rubbed it in with damp fingers. You can see the result in the next photo.
Now thats enough grunge to make them look vintage! I still used the damp paint brush to break up any larger pieces of crayon that were left after rubbing it in.
I cut up small *twigs with my Tonic scissors then used Collage Medium to glue them to each pumpkin.
*my husband picked these up for me at the golf course - plenty of twigs there!
I added a small amount of moss to some of the pumpkins and then just waited for the Collage Medium to dry.
I just love how they came out! So fun and just the right colors for me.
Here you can see how I used white pumpkins in my Found Objects Halloween kit.
Now if you're not into painted pumpkins, maybe you'll like some with funny faces! The faces are from the Halloween Remnant Rubs. I thought maybe they would be hard to put on but nope, they rubbed on very easily (I hardly had to use the Remnant Rub Tool). I did go over the face with Collage Medium - it gets rid on the slight halo around the rubs and it secures any edges to the surface. An easy fix.
There are even faces on the sheet for the smaller pumpkins! You can see I used the same Distress Crayon technique (shown previously) to add crayon over the pumpkin so it fits in with the group.
I decided to stack them up using dollop of Collage Medium in-between. It might seem like its not going to keep them together but just leave it alone to do it's magic and they will be glued together for life!
They fit right in with the group!
I hope I have temped to you to experiment with pumpkins! I didn't even show black painted pumpkins and I know that would be a great addition to any Halloween Project!
Just for fun I am having "The Great Halloween Giveaway" to celebrate the fall season! To enter the giveaway, leave a comment here on the blog -

I love those little pumpkins so much! My favorite costume was one we made (with much time and labor lol) for my son about 5 years ago. It was a Gimili the Dwarf costume (from Lord of the Rings). He looked awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Paula, thx for sharing how you made those pumpkins so vintage looking. My favourite Halloween costume would be a black cat. It’s very basic and includes a telephone cord as a tail.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway!!
Hugs xxx
Great tutorial. Love the depth of colors of the pumpkins. My mom always sewed our costumes. The year I was a gypsy was a standout. At 11 years old I loved hippie style & wished I could dress like that all the time. Anything was better than a clown (yes I’m a hater of clowns) lol
ReplyDeleteHello my favorite Paula. My favorite costume as a kid was a zebra . Go figure. Love the pumpkins and love the carving faces you put on them love ya
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I LOOOOVE them so much. My favourite pumpkin project this season. I’m going to make bucket loads, off to find twigs.

ReplyDeletePaint, crayons, sticks and moss - oh my - These are perfect! My favorite Halloween costume - well I just got a new puppy so I was Cruella from 101 Dalmatians. I've never worn that much make up in my life, I loved the wild black and white wild hair and the evil laugh!!!
ReplyDeleteyour pumpkins are amazing! thanks your sharing your fabulous creativity. vicki
ReplyDeleteOMG Paula, these are too cute and I am addicted to those pumpkins! My favorite Halloween costume as a kid was when I was Uncle Sam and my best friend was Betsy Ross.
ReplyDeleteMy mom made me a hobo costume.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was a spotted leopard. My brother and I had the same costume with a hood and ears!
ReplyDeleteI have a picture of me at about 18months old in a homemade tiger costume. I treasure that photo. I also had a really good witch costume growing up.
ReplyDeleteThese are the cutest little punkins I ever saw! Love how you gussied them up! My favorite costume was a big box I decorated like a table...added a tablecloth, glued on little plates and cups and napkins. I put it over my head and cut out eyes. It was a little wobbly when I walked, but I thought I was quite clever, LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was Minnie Mouse...I was pregnant with my daughter and the skirt was twirly. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI love your cute punkins!
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE your favorite Iced Spruce had to make an appearance! I've said before, I'm notsomuch a Halloween girl, so if you draw my name, please choose another.
Great ideas for the pumpkins! I have a friend who loves green pumpkins so I'll have to share this with her. As a kid I remember loving Little House on the Prairie, so my mom made me a frontier outfit complete with bonnet and apron for Halloween. I think I wore it every chance I could...lol.
ReplyDeleteMine was jennie in a bottle. Felt like a bohemian princess.
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkins..thanks for showing what to do with the rub-ons.
Love the post. Great ideas. My favorite Halloween costume was onebinmade for an office party. I had to hunt down a bubble umbrella, in order to turn it in as part of my Jellyfish costume.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! My favorite Halloween costume was a clown! Not because it was scary or beautiful. But because of the polaroid photo I have of my sister and I dressed as clowns kissing each other right smack on the lips at the ages of 1 and 3. It's priceless and makes me smile every time I look at it.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I love it all! Halloween is my absolute favorite, so I have a hard time choosing one of anything Halloween related, but one of my most loved costumes was one of those plastic suit and mask in a box costumes of E.T. Everyone tried to talk me out of it bc it was 'for boys' but I insisted and wore it until it split up the back. 😂🎃
ReplyDeleteThese are so adorable and now I want to make an entire patch of them! My favorite Halloween costume was in the 1970’s when my little brother went as a pregnant woman and wore a huge strawberry maternity dress and a blonde wig and makeup. I really need to find the photo now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tutorial - I particularly love the iced spruce pumpkins! Favorite costume, hmmm...probably the year I went as a Rubik's Cube. I have creative parents and I sure did love playing with the cube way back when!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you did to the pumpkins I’ll have to give it a go .
ReplyDeleteTo be honest my favorite costume is my witches costume which I add to every year it gets better and better . Have a great Halloween and Trick-or- treat .
You always make the pieces look amazing. I love the idea of the different colored pumpkins! The moss was a super touch! Thanks for the tutorial! I think my favorite costume as a child was probably Holly Hobbie :)
ReplyDeleteThe little pumpkins are adorable - just love them!! I loved my pirate costume!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkin faces...My favorite Halloween costume was Count Dracula. I got really good at a creepy scary face with the face paint. Thanks for the give-a-way...fingers crossed...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing those cute altered pumpkins! I think if I had to choose my favorite Halloween costume it would be from one of my two sons. They're grown men, but love dressing up for Halloween. I look forward every year to seeing what they're going to be.
ReplyDeleteLove these colourful pumpkins!!! My favourite costume was a few years ago when I dressed up as"an old crow" complete with a black feather boa and black wings!
ReplyDeleteOh Paula, you have done it again. These pumpkins are the cutest. Love them all, thank you for sharing your brilliant idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tutorial I am going to make some. I loved Halloween because I liked creating unique costumes ( we always had contest at work). My favorite was " Electro Boppy " ( I named it).It all started when I bought a pair of lime green and pink boppers while we were in Solvang one year... my ideas usually evolved over a period of time from so silly something I saw somewhere. So this was back in the 80's. Lime green and shocking pink were in colors. The body of my costume was pumpkin shaped intermittent sections of pink and lime green shimmery fabric stuffed with batting to give it shape; I wore shocking pink leotard with shocking pink tights; wore pink jellies with pink and lime binding with pink pompoms dangling laced through the holes of the jellies. I wore a limes green afro wig with lights laced through it ( yes the lights flashed) and had the boppers on my head ( oh they were the kind like the blow out party favor... you blow into the tube the boppers go up !!! Had green face makeup with pink glitter. It was way too funny !! And yes I won 1st place
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkins are great. Our family had an Asian costume for toddlers. Fu Man Chu hat and a jacket. Add a little eyeliner to change the eyes and you were done. Really cute and worn by at least 8 different little ones.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was a princess of course. Elaine Hall
ReplyDeleteThese are too adorable!! I love the vintage rusted patina look of these pumpkins! Totally my style!!! My favorite Halloween costume was a pirate! I totally went all johnny depp bit girl version lol! I made my necklaces and other accss. But not did I make such knots in my hair since I teased it ouch! I still feel the pain of brushing when I think about it lol
ReplyDeleteGreat little pumpkins! Thanks for sharing your techniques. My favorite halloween costume was The Wicked Witch of The West I made for myself. She is one of my favorites. It was so much fun to wear. Love your blog!♡
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your magic! These look so awesome!!! Here in Holland we sadly don't celwbrate Gallowee, but as I am a total fan, and luckily so is the hubs, we decorate our house with all the halloweeny stuff we can find! If I had to dress up for Halloween I would totally be Countess Dracula :-)
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkins are just fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI have made several costumes for my grandchildren, my favourite was 'picachu' which we had great fun making together
Your pumpkins couldn't be any more perfect, thank you for the tutorial, I love them! My favorite costume was my daughter's at 18 months - she was a little lamb. I glued hundreds of cotton balls on a tiny shift and hood, she was adorable! 30 years later she did a #tbt and we recreated the same costume. We <3 Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThis is the MOST amazing tutorial Paula! I’m so excited todo this!! My fav costume is being a Fortune Teller. My girlfriend and I dress up and give fortunes to the kiddos at a local Halloween event. Super fu !
ReplyDeleteWhat a super cute idea for using/altering the pumpkins! My favorite costume was a wicked witch...no "good" witch costumes for me! Love your posts and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costume growing up is a tie between the year I was Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, (Though I was absolutely furious when my parents made me cover up my beautiful dress with a winter coat. Darn Wisconsin weather!) and then 5th grade when I dressed as "The Y2K Bug". My parents helped me make bug antennae and my dad and I took a bunch of old computer parts and glued them to a t-shirt. Five minute costume but still makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Paula! Adore the pastel colours and adding the stems, moss and those cute wee faces takes them to a whole new level. Thanks so much for sharing! My favourite Halloween costume was a genie based on the 'I Dream of Jeannie' TV show (really dating myself here LOL!!). Thanks so much for your generous giveaway, Deb xo
ReplyDeleteLove your painted pumpkins, I'm going to go outside and grab some twigs. I know exactly what my favorite Halloween costume was. It was when I was in my twenties but I remember it like it was yesterday. My sister and I dressed up as flapper girls and we were the hit of the party. Unfortunately she passed away from cancer three years ago next month. Thank goodness for great memories like this one!
ReplyDeleteYour creativity is amazing! I love the vintage look of the pumpkins! My favorite Halloween costume was when I was in my early 20’s. I bought a grizzly looking old man ( or woman?) mask. I wore it as an old woman with an old house coat, a bandanna over my head and support hose rolled down to my calves. I carried a cane and a brown kraft paper handled bag. Walked around the office I worked in without saying a word. Had them all scared, and intrigued at the same time. No one had a clue it was me until I removed my mask. It was so fun I did it the next year as an old man, same results. You’d think they’d remember! Anyway, happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteLove the painted pumpkins! You are so creative. My fav costume was going as a pair of dice with a friend. Use a box that’s covered in white paper with black dots. Wear the box. So easy!
ReplyDeletemy Halloween costumes that came in a box were always my favorite as a kid! I get so excited when I see them in antique stores now...which is not that often!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was when I was 8, my grandma glued feather to me. I was a ROOSER. hahahahah
ReplyDeletebtw, the little grubby pumpkins are amazing, gonna try it!
Great pumpkins! You always come up with unique & creative ways to use Tim’s products!!! My favorite costume was from when I was in the 6th grade. My school & town celebrated Halloween big! We had a big school party with games & prizes in the gym and a parade through town. I guess they let kids be kids & have fun in the 70s :-). I came up with my costume myself & made it - pre-Pinterest & internet. I was a headless man. I took my dad’s suit jacket & shirt. The both went over my head & I cut eye holes out. I wore a tie so the eye holes were hidden a little. I carried a wig head that I decorated with a face & hat. My teacher walked with me in the parade so I didn’t trip. We looked cute together and I felt special because we walked in the front of the line. We even got our picture taken for a local newspaper. I still have it in a photo album. Thanks for making me think about that special day again! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm in my middles 60's and really don't remember my Halloween costumes, but do remember one Halloween I was running a fever and shook the thermometer and hit in on the counter and broke it. I did get to go trick or treating with a bag for my treats. I was short and it dragged the ground, got wet and I lost all my candy!!!
ReplyDeleteThose pumpkins are so darn cute!! I can’t remember all the costumes I went through over the years because they came in a box or bag. I had to share with my sister. So each year we would exchange because my mom had 11 kids. So yes Halloween was the cat meow for us!! Never dull moment around our home back in the days!!
ReplyDeleteOMG i ❤️❤️❤️these!!! Soooo cute!!! My fave costywas Wonder Woman. I felt like a super hero in that costume. Thanks Alicia
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! My favorite Halloween costume that someone at work was wearing was Flo from Progressive.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I only dressed up 1 time in my life. 1962. Silly bugs bunny costume with a plastic mask. I was shy, stood with the mask behind me too close to a stove and it warped the mask and it was terrifying to look at! So. Needless to say I only enjoy "cute" Halloween things....like your adorable pumpkins!
ReplyDeletePerfect pumpkins! Halloween is not big in Australia but my Grandson invited me to accompany him Trick or Treating last year so I dressed for the occasion in black with a pointy witch hat and a cobweb shawl.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume of all time was when I dressed up as a cannibal and carried a shrunken head - lol!
ReplyDeletePerfect Pumpkins! I love them. What a great touch to personalize them to the project. My favorite costume was when I was 6. My mother made a pilgrim costume hat and all. My son always came up with specific spectacular costumes. When he was 5 he wanted to dress as Charles Lindbergh and the next year at a thrift store he found a little trench coat and convinced me to draw on a mustache and he went as Inspector Clusoe. I never figured out where he even had watched or heard of the Pink Panther at that age!
ReplyDeleteGreat job recoloring those pumpkin! I love how they turned out—they’‘re perfect. My favorite Halloween costume as a child— I guess would have to be when I dressed up as a NUN! LOL thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are so inspirational, love the pumpkins 🎃. My favourite costume was a crayon. Not too creative but I had to use the tools I had...crayons and construction paper.
ReplyDeleteThose mini pumpkins are so cute! They are just you Paula! Always about the detail
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was dressing up as a table. Large cardboard square with a hole in the center set on my shoulders. Fabric over the cardboard for the table cloth. A paper bag with eyes cut out was covered with tissue paper flowers and set over my head as the center piece. Paper plates, plastic ware and paper cups glued to table cover! It was fabulous..but then I was only 10 at the time
I looove this idea!!! Now I need more pumpkins for all the ideas running through my head!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was actually what I made for my two sons. They had to be Ninja Turtles...nothing else would do. And they turned out so adorable. I have a photo of them in their ninja poses that’s just priceless. Thank you for bringing up that memory with this idea!!
What fun this particular blog post has been!! Getting the tutorial down, because I am SOOO making these, then getting to read everyone’s fun comments!!!
ReplyDeleteI had so many awesome costumes, because my Mama always put something awesome together for me! I really believe my very favorite was a beautiful “Gypsy costume” that she unbelievably “threw together”, with layer after layer of gorgeous fabrics...so many colors! I wasn’t going to “trick-or-treat”, that year, but got invited to a friend’s house, at the last minute (HER Mom put a little party together, for a handful of us, but it was “costume required”). My Mama always managed to make things like that come together as if she had a magic wand! Fun, fun memories!
What a great tutorial!! I didn’t celebrate Halloween when I was younger, but my favourite costume was a little pumpkin one I made for my daughter when she was little! And I love Halloween now!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was the Gypsy costume that came in a box. As it turned out it showed that year - A LOT! The costume was pretty tight over my winter overalls a coat but I didnt care. I was a gyspy!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome little pumpkins! Love them. Great idea to paint them and grunge them up. My favorite costume was a tiger that my Mom sewed by hand.
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. Clever use of color. Thanks for sharing. I love Halloween and play with my costumes. My favorite so far was The Corpse Bride.
ReplyDeleteCUTE, CUTE, CUTE! Paula, these are the sweetest punkin's I've seen all season! Still haven't opened mine, but I'm inspired by your great tutorial and creativity. As for a favorite costume...not on me but on a little boy who came our first Halloween party. He was dressed as a porta-potty and the costume was homemade. Talk about creativity!
ReplyDeleteIf you are asking about my own personal favorite, it would be a faceless mask. My husband (before he was my husband) and I wore them to a work party, dressed totally in black. We couldn't speak the whole night because we really wanted to creep everyone out. We did and won the costume contest. 25 years later, I still have those masks. Our family didn't celebrate Halloween growing up, so I make up for it now!
PS It's the twigs that really make those painted pumpkins extra special, but I love those stacked jac-o-lanterns!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costume was when I was a bee. I looked just like the little girl from the Blind Melon video 😂 it wasn’t my favorite at the time, but looking back on it now it just cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkin tutorial!!
Last year I was the crazy cat lady with a dozen stuffed cats attached to my clothes, a basket of cats and more, some of the cats even meowed when you pressed their foot, the picture is now my Facebook profile photo!
ReplyDeleteThose pumpkins are adorable - what a wonderful idea! Amazed at your creativity, as always. My favourite Halloween costume was when my 5 foot self went as the Little Green Sprout and my 6'7" best male friend went as the Jolly Green Giant - memory of it still makes me smile today.
ReplyDeleteLove this idea! When I was in elementary school we found this vintage leather skirt and I was an Indian princess. I’ll never forget that costume!
ReplyDeleteI convinced my parents to buy me a "real" cowgirl outfit at Frontier Village in San Jose. I was somewhere around 4th grade. It had fringe and real cowhide skirt and vest. It was expensive back in 1965. So halloween came around and of course I needed boots to go with it. My mom wasn't buying the boots so she found a pair of "GO GO" boots and had them dyed brown. I was pretty sure that was the best costume ever! Happy Halloween. Love my KIT!!!
ReplyDeleteJust had to wear the high heels my Mom planned to throw away so I put on a fancy dress and wore myself out climbing hills in heels.. no wonder I like wearing flats today.
ReplyDeleteOne year I was candy corn!!
ReplyDeleteI love these pumpkins! So cool! My favorite costume was one I made for my brother. It was a playing card, the king of hearts
ReplyDeleteI adore those teeny pumpkins! When I was about 11 years old, the costume of the year was a Gizmo. Basically it amounted to drawing a face on a pillowcase, then pulling the pillowcase over the head including the arms inside. That was the gigantic head of the Gizmo. The bottom part was simply a pair of pants worn naturally and then slipping a shirt around the waist over the pants, buttoning it up, stuffing the arms & pinning stuffed gloves inside the shirt’s cuffs. And oversized pair of shoes & a jaunty hat on top finished off the costume. It was possible to raise the arms inside the pillowcase to create different head moves. I found it hard to trick or treat in that costume but at a Halloween party it was a winner. Thank you for a chance to win! And thank you for Halloween inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! i love the turquoise ones !
ReplyDeleteLOVe these adorable pumpkins! My favorite Halloween costume was one me and my Mom put together. I was a witch with these crazy high platform shoes that were given to me. They were shiny black with a huge silver swirl on the platform. Those heels were everything and I felt like the queen of Halloween that year, but I remember having the take them off to trick or treat! :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite, or should I add, the only costume I can recall from childhood was a witch. My mom took my dad's cowboy hat and added cardboard to make it bigger/round, then added some gauze she dyed black along with beaded jewelry and black feathers. It was so cool looking.
ReplyDeleteI love the "Wicked Awesome" pumpkin patch!
ReplyDeleteAnmaria
I always love your projects, Paula! My favorite costume was a parrot. I created the head and beak out of stuffed muslin and spray paint and attached "feathers" made of brightly colored parachute cloth that I fringed on the edges. The body (as I remember it, this was back in the 80's) was a stuffed muslin "sack" with holes cut for the arms, covered with more "feathers". I won a couple of awards at some costume parties with that outfit!
ReplyDeleteThe little pumpkins are fantastic, like the twig addition. The three piled up are great looking. I would not have thought of using the ink on the already orange pumpkins, thanks for this idea. My costumes as a child were limited . I don't dress up as an adult. I guess Raggedy Ann that was home made by a neighbor was my favorite because I had a wig and make-up to go with it. I did sew costumes for my children when they were young. It is great memories for them. Peter Pan, Zorro, Mouse, Cat,Dracula, and Robin Hood are some they liked and danced around in. Everyone have a safe Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHey, Paula - great giveaway. My FAVORITE Halloween costume was the year I inherited a gorgeous ballerina outfit from my rich cousin. I was so excited to wear it - until Halloween came and wee had a cold snap. My mother made me wear corduroy pants under the tutu and a coat - cane you imagine how that turned out???
ReplyDeleteHI Paula! Your contest brought back a poignant memory of my fave costume (my only Halloween costume). I was 9 and my mother worked nights so I went out by myself in a costume she had bought at Woolworths - a golden haired princess with a white glittery gown, a wand and mask. I entered a best costume contest at a community center and we kids all stood onstage to be judged. Everyone got silver dollars and I got a tootsie pop. I realized my costume was a cheap white sack with glitter out of a box, compared to the other kids' costumes whose parents had made with imagination and care. I was embarrassed but it was a life lesson I still remember clearly these decades later. I do happily remember enjoying my candy haul when I got home though and being able to run around in the dark by myself. ~Lorraine
ReplyDeleteOh my pumpkins, Paula! These are adorable! My favorite Halloween costume was one I made for my son - a giraffe. You never saw chubbier cheeks on a giraffe! Sweet memories
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to color the pumpkins. Love how they came out! My favorite Halloween costume was Casper the Ghost with the mask and elastic string that held it on. Which they always broke before the night was over lol
ReplyDeleteI don't remember many of my costumes, home made and not very imaginative I'm afraid. Sixty five years ago we made do! But I do remember a fairly good try at being an 8 year old mermaid with sparkly green yarn fashioned into a wig and an aunts old ball gown refashioned into a tail which I could hardly walk in! Thanks for the memories!!
ReplyDeleteLove the great colors you used on the pumpkins and gave them faces and stems :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was when I dressed like a girl in the 50's ;)
My favorite costume was when Inwas chicken cord on blue wore a blue shirt got a telephone cord made a necklace then attached a rubber chicken to it. Pretty corny but it was easy plays. Loved your pumpkins made the stacked trio but added. A glass dome to them.
ReplyDeleteI love all the different colours of pumpkins you created Paula, the twigs and moss give them such a realistic look. It is a very long time since I wore a Halloween outfit, but mine would have to be a skeleton, I have always had a fascination for them... xx
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the pumpkins!!!! Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was a witch.
I got a "store bought" CASPER the Friendly Ghost costume which I loved!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking pumpkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are so wolnderful and too cute for words paula. Love the trio of jack-o-lanterns and the white ones... So clever!
ReplyDeleteI remember a really simple costume I made for one if my children years ago. I used two sheets of poster board in you favorite M&M color, cut out a circle, then paint a black M on each one. Add string and wear like those sandwich type advertisements.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was the princess costume complete with the plastic high heels. My brothers had to carry me all night trick or treating!!
ReplyDeleteToo stinkin cute, Paula! My favorite was a a flapper costume I made with one of my mother's half slips and fringed crepe paper. None of the other kids knew what a flapper was, but I didn't care!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! My favorite costume was a nun’s habit my mother made. I attended a Catholic school, and she made me a habit that was an exact replica of what my teachers wore! It was scary for sure. Mom is where I get my artistic talents from.
ReplyDeleteMy 4 sisters and I were left on our own to come up with costumes. We were clever and resourceful. I remember a team effort for my fav...A hippie chick in the early 70's.
ReplyDelete
